Thankful Thursday
I'm thankful I have a bed to sleep in and a hubby who lets me nap in the evenings, even though I know he'd rather be the one sleeping.
I'm thankful we have food in our cupboards so that when the Heathens get to being hungry I can say "You know where the kitchen is".
I'm thankful the water is running, the heat is working, and the electric is flowing. At least we are keeping our heads above the water that much!
I'm thankful that summer is done and over with. I really do prefer the cooler months of the year. They don't cause migraines just by walking out the door!
Prayers and blessings everyone. I hope you all have a wonderful week and a lot to be thankful for.

What should I write?
Here are some suggestions. Would you like to see, would you read, about me cooking? Yes, I know that is very "homemaker". Um, HELLO, I AM a HOMEMAKER. Though I've always wondered why it's called that. I can kind of see it. I mean, we make our house a HOME, and hence, HOMEMAKER, but still. It's almost insinuative (is that even a word?) that I'm building something. Am I?
How about my religion? Well, that would be good, I guess, if I even knew what my religion WAS. I have a basic idea and I'm still exploring and learning. You want to explore and learn with me?
How about more of my dreams? Oh come on, you know you enjoyed reading about David Beckham. Don't tell me you didn't. Even Jason thought it was funny.
Oh, should I give the kids psuedo names? I know I haven't even listed their middle names, let alone last names (and sadly enough, they ALL have different last names, don't ask, it's a LONG story). How about Jason. He could be Serial Daddy. Though that really doesn't fit him the same. How about Guy I Married This Time 'Round Who is Crazy Enough to Stay. So for abbreviation he would be GIMTTRWCES. Yeah, that's not a mouthful at all. James could be Screwy Brain Wiring Boy and Jayden is Princess Fart Blossom (again, don't ask, unless you REALLY want to know) and Izzy would be Hurricane Ike (he even has all the wet to go along with that name, every time that boy gets a cup he either dumps it or spits it or a combo of both) and Katy could be Lady Monkey Frog Lover (she has a thing for frogs and monkeys). Eh, screw it. It's easier for me to keep it this way.
Ooooh. Damn, I had it, and now I've lost it. Yep, that's how I roll.
Looking at my horrid mess of an office, I am reminded that I need to pick up some phonics materials for the kids. We are in the process of doing a deep clean on the entire main floor of the house. And of coarse when I say WE I mean ME because while Jason is WONDERFUL in helping maintain the clean, he isn't all about reorganizing and taking the hose and vacuuming the nooks and crannies and actually MOVING stuff around to clean around, over, under, and on top of it. I'm anal like that.
The living room is done. Now I'm building up the courage to go in to the dining room. The room that Izzy trashes all the time. With his food throwing and spitting and dumping of drinks and ripping of books and taking things off of shelves and tipping of chairs and....well, the list keeps going and going. There is one room in the house Izzy trashes. And it's my dining room. UGH.
I can write about what I'm reading. Or what craft project I'm working on. Right now, it's decorative letters for the upstairs. Or homeschooling projects. Or how to deal with a 9 year old boy who drives you insane and you love so much and has the brain wiring that is SO screwy. Or relationship things, like talking it out and how to fight fair, and unfair. Or finding ways to pay attention to a 6 year old middle child who believes she is the most neglected person on the planet and needs you to just look at her!
Or, OH, I remember now!, parenting stuff. Like all of that I just listed. All about parenting a bunch of kids and juggling their needs and not losing yourself in the mix! Or my struggles with weight loss and homemaking and finding my purpose and direction in my life.
Oh wait, I just listed what I do already. Oops, sorry. It was supposed to be different choices. I do want to know what you would like to read more of. Oh, and would it be all right if I posted more pics? Of coarse of the family, but of like food and projects too? I know it sounds so Pioneer Woman but I swear it's not a copy cat kind of thing. It's all I've got so I want to share it!
Well, that's the post for right now. Prayers and blessings everyone. Join me tomorrow at the same bat time and the same bat channel for Thankful Thursday.

David Beckham is Ticklish.
I digress, but don't I always?
I was working on a movie in LA. First off, I don't live in LA. I don't live anywhere NEAR LA. I'm pretty sure LA is about 2000 miles from me. At least. 2ndly, I don't work on movies. I think it would be fun. Getting to blow stuff up to huge proportions. Things like that. Movies aren't usually made in Michigan though, so the odds of me ever actually working on one are pretty slim to none.
David Beckham was in the movie. I'm not sure why he was in the movie, aside from the obvious fact that was getting paid. I don't even know what the movie was about. I do know that a LOT of people talked with a British accent. And they were funny. I kept thinking to myself "I wish I could teach my kids to talk with a British accent so they would sound so cool and funny" but thankfully I never said it out loud to any of the folks I was working with.
Oh, and David Beckham takes the mass transit when he is working on movies. Something about saving on gas and the planet or the other. The day before I tickled Becks was a rainy one. I was standing under an awning, waiting for the rain to let up before I got about my business on set. I saw Becks running to catch a bus. What struck me as super odd was that the bus was waiting for him. It slowed down to the stop, the driver saw Becks was coming, and he WAITED. Buses NEVER wait when I want them. Go figure. Poor Becks slipped in some mud and did a face plant in a HUGE mud puddle. He was laughing his ass off the entire time. It'd be like if I let Jayden go out and play in the rain like she is always begging to. For her, she always wants to when it is too cold to do it, but I'm assuming that considering it was LA, it was warmer than Hell, and the rain felt pretty damn good. He got up, grabbed his bag, and kept running for the bus.
The next day, I'm sitting in the Green Room (do movies even HAVE a Green Room?) next to Becks and with some of the other cast and crew, mostly the British ones. David was shirtless. I was telling them all how I saw him fell and how he got up grinning and laughing like a little kid. I poked Becks and he started laughing even harder. I looked at Becks and said "What, is David Beckham ticklish?" He said, with a grin, "Yeah, I'm afraid I am". I laughed and started tickling him. He's laughing his ass off and squirming to get away. And that's when I tell him "You know, I'm going to blog about this. The whole world has to know you are ticklish."
That's when Jason woke me up because my dad was here to bring over a ladder. I think it's a little odd that I mentioned blogging in my dream, don't you? However, that being said, I DID say I would blog about David Beckham, so I did. Oh, and he wasn't the least bit offended that I was tickling him. Which makes glad, Dream David Beckham, because I wasn't the least bit offended to be doing the tickling.
With that, I'm done for now. Prayers and blessings everyone. I have a ton to get done today, and NO motivations, so wish me luck!

Thankful Thursday
I'm thankful I have the right to vote. I'm thankful the election is only a month away. I'm really tired of all of the election talk and ads and what not, and I'll be glad when it's all done.
I'm thankful for my husband, who is so thoughtful and understanding. He's great when he comes home to a trashed house. I clean, I swear I do, however Izzy the 2 year old Tornado goes right behind and uproots everything as he goes. UGH.
I'm thankful for my kids. They drive me batty as hell. James ran away from me at the doc's office on Tuesday (that's a post all on it's own), Izzy is always undoing everything, and Jayden is a whiny pain. Oh, and Katy has started that whole "I'm a teenager and you are beneath me" crap. That being said, my life wouldn't be the same without them and I can't imagine how it would be if they weren't here.
I'm thankful I live in the U.S. Yes, the economy is screwed and all kinds of crappy things are happening. However, this country IS strong. We will overcome. It will take a while, but it will happen.
I'm thankful I live in a part of the country where we have honest to goodness seasons. I love how they change over the months and I'm always excited when the new one comes around. It is always so wonderful and amazing to me to see the changes that Mother Earth goes through as the months go by.
That is Thankful Thursday for this week. Prayers and blessings everyone, have a pleasent week.

I've Been Tagged
So here are 7 random facts about me
1. I have given birth to 5 children, and have been pregnant a total of 9 times.
2. I live in a house that is almost 120 years old and I LOVE it. I think old houses have character and warmth in a way that a new home just doesn't have.
3. We have 2 cats, Ringo and Paul. At some point in my relationship with Jason, we have had all of The Beatles, in cat form, living in our home. George was an orange striped tabby. John was an all grey barn cat that had a mean streak. George (along with his compatriot Nathan) were left at a farm when we moved from one place to another (at least we didn't just shut them out of the house) and John ran away, and were all a little thankful for that. Ringo is an indoor only cat, and looks siamese, but he's actually a tabby, and Paul is an indoor/outdoor cat that is a grey and white tabby.
4. I am an overly optimistic person. My thinking is ALWAYS "It could be worse". I've actually lived through worse and I still thought that!
5. I dye my hair, a lot. Currently it is strawberry blonde with chunks of bright pink. I love to play around with my hair color. I have also shaved my head more than once. I have no real attachment to my hair. Oh wait, yes I do. I love my hair. I love how it feels, it's always so soft and silky. Thankfully, all the playing with color hasn't affected the texture of it.
6. I have the oldest and the youngest grand kids in my family. My oldest daughter will be 14 this year, my youngest child is 2 1/2. My mom has 13 grandchildren between those ages. 5 of them are mine. We would really really love another baby too.
7. Jason is my 2nd husband. He is my best friend, the love of my life. We even each other out like you only hear about in stories. I'm up when he's down. He's always a little on the melancholy side while I'm always on the sunny side. We met online, of all places. In his profile he stated how cool it would be to be able to tell his grandkids that he met their grandma online. We share so many of the same interests it's scary and we have so many different ones too. We are both artists, but express it differently. I can keep going on and on about him for forever and a day.
Now to do the onward tagging. Considering I read so many blogs (I do, just take a look at the list, and that isn't even the most updated list at that), I'm going to do this. If you haven't been tagged, you now have. Go on, it's fun!
Prayers and blessings and have a wonderful day everyone!

Something Bright and Cheery

Because I've been slacking as of late on the blogging, so sorry, but life happens, ya know, I'm going to post some pics of something bright and cheery and leave you on that note. I cut these from the plants in my front flower beds. Yes, they are STILL blooming, 2 days shy of October. I think they are lovely. This is also the first time this season that I thought to cut flowers and make a bouquet out of them. I've always just left them out front. Yes, it's a wine goblet and yes, it has holly painted on it. It was the right size, so I used it.
